The August 2008 Weekender will be taught at Fort Mason, which is the northern edge of San Francisco looking at Alcatraz and the inside of the Golden Gate Bridge. Convenient districts include Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square, the Marina District, the Presidio and Union Street. Several attractively priced motels can be found on or near Lombard Street, a street which is five short blocks south of Fort Mason (at Laguna).
